An antique typewriter from the late 1800s. There was a complete set of keys for lower case and a complete set of keys for upper case. It would be a real hassle to type with this!

amazingly advanced tech for the late 1800s

from 2nd floor to 1st floor of house. Note the flat board on the left.

Those are coat hooks above the stairwell. I can see someone standing on the flat board to putt a coatg on a hanger but it looks very dangerous.
