making the Leaderdog School for the Blind liver treat for dogs...

Leader Dog School for the Blind
Liver Dog Treat

I will confirm the recipie tomorrow but I remember it being:
  • one pound of chicken liver
  • blended with an egg
  • mixed with
    • 1 cup flour and
    • one cup corn meal
and baked at 400 degrees F for 15 minutes. The local Dillions did not have chicken liver but the pointed out a bowl (1 lb) of frozen turkey liver. I cooked this recipe till it hit about 175 degrees F.

The raw turkey liver.
The raw liver just before I microwaved it; it was still frozen and probably would not have been easily blended.
The liver thawed in the microwave.
The thawed liver awaiting the blending.
I probably didn't need to put this video in but I was checking to see if my older camera can still produce "moving pictures". I am frequently amazed at how electronics can "decay" over time...
The flour and corn meal before blending them.
The two types of flours blended.
Here I am addding the egg and blending.
The flours mixed with the blended liver and egg, just prior to putting them in the oven.
The dogie treat just after I took it out of the oven.
Here are two videos of my dog enjoying the liver treats. He is so eager to get these treats they we risk thumb and finger!
