Australian Beauty

In November 1987, my wife and I went from Guam to Australia and New Zealand. We had to spend the night in Bali. There, a number of Australian women sun bathed topless. I got two good pictures and this is the better the two. If this woman was 30 at the time I took this photo, she would be 25 years older and 55 years old.  I hope she looks as good now as she did then!

I am reasonably sure I am  the only person who will ever see this photo; it is a pity she will not...

"draught" photos of my yard, 15 February 2013

I took these photos on 15 February 2013. Cocorahs.org wanted their volunteers to send in photos illustrating any drought conditions in their location. These photos illustrate the normal dry conditions of our part of southwest Kansas in winter. There is a reason they used to refer to western Kansas as part of the Great American Desert!

poor little broccoli plant

This was the only of my broccoli plants to survive the rabbits and drought of last summer. It is very hard to even tell this is a broccoli plant; it certainly did not produce anything edible. (Just looking at it was enough to put me off eating broccoli for a while! )
