a nicely dressed Lion

This Lion from British Columbia attended the 2012 Lions USA-Canada
Leadership Forum in Tampa Bay Saturday night (15 September 2012) get
together in his ancestor clan kilt. He didn't have the ceremonial dagger
but I guess he would not get it on the plane (in checked luggage).

elegant twin hull

This is a very nice and elegant twin hull sailboat I enjoyed looking at in Tampa Bay Florida. It would be terrifying to take her out the first several times and I would be afraid of this sailboat getting "knocked down". Worst would be if I "turtled the boat" (let it get upside down). Twin hulls have two modes of stability:
  • upright(the less stable mode) and
  • turtled or upside down (by far, the more stable mode).
If you turtle this boat, you would need to call the Coasties or Harbour Police to come rescue you.

It looks like you could live on this boat for brief periods and this would be a nice boat to go exploring islands and inlets around Florida. (A number of other nice sail boats.)

lots of nice boats

These boats were tied up in a river. The prices of the boats have to be "up there". I think Kathie and I would enjoy taking any of these out in the Gulf. (Another lovely boat.)

cute puppy

This is a four month old puppy, being trained to serve as a "Leader
Dog". I took the photo at the 2012 Lions USA-Canada Leadership Forum in
Tampa Bay, Florida. The puppy will require a lot of training but she
certainly has her trainer well trained.

As the trainer was trying to take the puppy out to pee, the puppy kept
dropping into the "seated" position. The trainer ended up having to pick
up the puppy and carry her outside...

Here are better pictures of the puppy at her best:

I wish I had the nerve to post this on my Facebook page but I'd probably just piss a lot of people off.

my tyre

I have the feeling the Goodyear boys would not have been able to repair this tire. This "blowout" happened in late 2009.

Bloody Good Time

Two days after my flu shot, I started feeling cold sensations in my chest. I coughed up this wad of blood and began to wonder if it was evaplorative cooling. That is, blood leaking out and evaporating. I hope I'm wrong.

Anyway, I got another wad of blood the next morning and that was it.

I wonder if it was the combination of the flu shot and the Advlair I had been using for asthma.

old fart cell fones?

I got this from an email. It is called the "old folks" cell phone. Personally, I think the next image would be more appropriate:

Then there is favourite; the one I'd like to pretend to be talking on while in my car (passenger).,

Can you image the reaction of other drivers seeing me  appearing to use this?

There was a train which was snowed in by a blizzard near Dodge City, Kansas, in 1886. The copyright has got to have expired before my parents were born!  (Yes, this is presented in the spirit of free usage.)
